Why do we need a website when there's Facebook?

Every serious voluntary organisation should have a website. It showcases your work and gives you a stronger identity. It helps attract volunteers and donations. Having your own website, instead of just relying on social media, conveys professionalism. It provides comprehensive information about the organization in a way that Facebook or Instagram can't.

What kind of website will it be?

  • It will be clean, attractive and focused on giving visitors a clear understanding of the service you provide. Something simple, yet beautiful, engaging, concise and effective.

  • It will be written in impeccable English.

  • It will have up to five pages. The content might include: your main messages on the home page; an explanation of who you are and what you do; stories about your work, your clients, volunteers or founders; a news or events page; how to volunteer and donate; how to get in touch.

  • The website will be linked to your social media.

  • It will look good on both desktop computer and mobile devices.

  • I'll work closely with you so you'll have control over the website as it develops.

  • I will design and write it using website builder Wix.com.​

What's the process of getting a new website?

  1. First, we'll have a discussion about your goals and needs, design and colour preferences, and so on. 

  2. Next, I'll gather all the materials necessary, such as your logo, any photos you may want to use, documentation about your VO, and so on. You might opt to have some new photos professionally taken or a new logo designed.

  3. I'll design and write the website based on your requirements.

  4. I'll submit it to you so you can go over it and suggest any changes you want to make.

  5. I'll publish your brand new website for the world to see.

How will we keep the site up to date?

You have two options:
1. You will have full access to the system once ownership of the website is transferred to you and you'll be able to change anything on the site. I'll provide initial guidance to get you started.
2. You can retain me as the manager of your site, with access only to content (no access to personal or financial information).

PRICE:

BASIC PACKAGE

  • €500 for design of basic five-page website and writing of its content. 

  • About €20 per month subscription to website builder Wix.com

  • About €300 per year for the domain (website address). The first year is free.

OPTIONALS​

  • €100 for a set of original, professional photos of your work and your team. 

  • €100-€200 per month for website management and regular updating of content, depending on frequency and volume of updates.
